B&R specifies X20SI2100 for reading safety-related digital signals in applications up to EN ISO 13849-1 Category 4 / PL e and IEC 61508 or EN 62061 SIL 3. The complete safety function, wiring, validation and controller project must meet the required standard.

Use one safety-keyed X20BM33 or X20BM36 bus module and one X20TB52 12-pin safety-keyed terminal block. B&R lists these items as mandatory accessories, so they should be checked separately when preparing an order.
