Which terminal block is required for ABB AO561?
ABB lists TA563-11, TA564-11 and TA565-11 as compatible 11-pin terminal blocks. They are ordered separately and provide different screw, spring and cable-entry arrangements.

How does hardware version E0 affect ABB AO561 resolution?
ABB specifies 13-bit resolution including sign for the bipolar voltage range on version E0 or later. Earlier versions use 12 bits including sign, so the module index must be checked.

Can voltage and current terminals be connected at the same time on ABB AO561?
No. Only the terminal associated with the configured mode should be used. ABB states that the unselected output path is undefined and must not be connected.

Can ABB AO561 operate in centralized and distributed AC500 I/O?
Yes. ABB documents centralized expansion with AC500 CPUs and decentralized expansion with supported S500 communication interfaces, subject to the station compatibility rules.

No. ABB states that AO561 hot swap is not supported. Power and process voltage must be removed before the module or terminal block is connected, removed or replaced.
