Today we spotlight the ICS TRIPLEX T3411F Digital Input FTA (Fault-Tolerant Assembly) – the panel-mounted, hot-swappable, triple-modular-redundant interface that converts 16 hazardous-area contacts into TÜV-certified SIL 3 logic in just 40 ms.
What the T3411F really does
• Receives 16 dry-contact or NAMUR signals
• Provides 3-way TMR (Triple Modular Redundant) voting on each channel
• Delivers open-wire, short-circuit and line-fault diagnostics to the T940 processor
• Allows online replacement without dropping the safety function (HFT = 1)
• Survives 2 kV surge and 15 g vibration – certified for offshore skids
