MTL4041B is a legacy one-channel repeater power supply for 2- or 3-wire 4–20 mA transmitters in hazardous areas, with a safe-area current output and HART communication.
The module combines transmitter excitation, galvanic isolation and current repetition while allowing bidirectional smart-transmitter communication.
The field side supplies a 2- or 3-wire smart transmitter installed in the hazardous area.
The measured 4–20 mA current is repeated to a safe-area control-system input through an isolated channel.
Bidirectional communication is supported so HART data can pass between the transmitter and host connection.
