The FOXBORO FBM231 is a Field Device System Integrator (FDSI) for the Foxboro I/A Series Distributed Control System (DCS). This module enables reliable data exchange between field devices and the control system through four configurable serial communication ports (RS-232, RS-422, RS-485). It supports redundant configuration (master/tracking modules), improving system availability and stability, and serves as the core communication interface for connecting complex automation systems with traditional serial field devices.
