WHY HIMATRIX?

A safety platform should fit the project—not the other way around

Safety projects are often pushed toward one of two extremes: a fixed controller with little room for change, or a large system that adds unnecessary hardware and engineering effort. HIMatrix provides several architecture choices within one product family, helping customers balance cabinet space, I/O scale, distribution and future expansion.

Do you need a compact controller for a skid, a configurable I/O mix for a larger unit, or safety signals distributed across several plant areas? The answer determines the architecture—not a marketing label.

CERTIFICATION EVIDENCE

Safety claims require a defined certificate scope

Current HIMA type-examination documentation lists HIMatrix F30, F35, F60 and remote I/O devices for process control, burner management, emergency shutdown and machinery safety. Applicable configurations support requirements up to SIL 3 / SIL CL 3 and machinery applications up to PL e and Category 4.

Important qualification
The final safety integrity depends on the complete safety function, product revision, firmware, engineering and application—not on the controller name alone.
DISTRIBUTED COMMUNICATION

SafeEthernet

HIMatrix systems can exchange safety-related data over HIMA's SafeEthernet protocol. A distributed design may reduce long signal runs and organize safety functions by machine or plant area. Network topology, response time, redundancy and cybersecurity still require project-specific engineering.

ENGINEERING & DIAGNOSTICS

SILworX

The SILworX environment supports function block diagrams, sequential function charts, certified function blocks and Structured Text. Optional capabilities may include sequence-of-events recording, multitasking and reload functions, depending on controller and software version.
