Current HIMA type-examination documentation lists HIMatrix F30, F35, F60 and remote I/O devices for process control, burner management, emergency shutdown and machinery safety. Applicable configurations support requirements up to SIL 3 / SIL CL 3 and machinery applications up to PL e and Category 4.
HIMatrix systems can exchange safety-related data over HIMA's SafeEthernet protocol. A distributed design may reduce long signal runs and organize safety functions by machine or plant area. Network topology, response time, redundancy and cybersecurity still require project-specific engineering.
The SILworX environment supports function block diagrams, sequential function charts, certified function blocks and Structured Text. Optional capabilities may include sequence-of-events recording, multitasking and reload functions, depending on controller and software version.
