176449-04 is the front-card of the 3500/45 position-monitoring suite.
Four universal channels accept eddy-current probes, DC/AC LVDTs, Rotary-Position Transducers (RPT) or potentiometers to measure:
axial (thrust) position
differential expansion (rotor vs. case)
case expansion (single or dual ramp)
valve / rod position
The card continuously compares live position against user-programmable Alert/Danger set-points and drives rack relays, buffered outputs and the plant DCS/SCADA through the 3500 back-plane.
