286566-01 is the 2-channel tachometer / overspeed card for the 3500 rack.
It measures shaft speed, rotor acceleration, zero-speed or reverse rotation from 1× Keyphasor® or magnetic-pick-up signals and compares the result to user-defined overspeed (and speed-band) limits.
The module can be deployed in 2-out-of-2 or 2-out-of-3 voting to satisfy API 612 overspeed-protection requirements.
