The 3500/20 is the mandatory Rack Interface Module for every Bently Nevada 3500-series rack.
Installed in Slot 1 (adjacent to the power supplies), it acts as the central communication gateway between the 3500 monitors and external hosts such as DCS, PLC, System 1®, TDXnet, TDIX or DDIX. The RIM handles rack-wide configuration, real-time data retrieval, alarm forwarding and diagnostics, yet it is outside the protection path, so its failure never disables critical machine tripping.
